Banana Ketchup

Banana Ketchup, also known as Banana Sauce, is a Filipino condiment that is used as a dipping sauce or in other recipes like Filipino BBQ sauce. The red color comes from food coloring. The natural color is more of a orangish brown. While most banana sauces do not use any tomato, this recipe uses a little tomato paste for flavor.


Freshly prepared banana ketchup can easily last 2 weeks in a covered and refrigerated container.



Makes about 2 cups.
