A traditional Ethiopian dish of chicken braised in a spicy sauce. The heat from the sauce comes from an spice blend called Berbere, and can be found in African markets, online or made at home from common spices. Extra heat alone can be added to taste using cayenne or hot paprika.
While this is a stovetop recipe, once the chicken is in the sauce, you can cover the pan and cook in a 280° oven for 45 minutes.
