Gobi Manchurian

A Chinese-Indian dish that be served as an appetizer, over rice or as a side dish. 'Gobi' means 'cauliflower' and 'Manchurian' refers to a style of cooking that takes batter fried vegetables and proteins that as coated in a spicy, sweet and sour sauce. The recipe will be the same for the batter and sauce whether the choice is to use cauliflower or any vegetable or protein. The key is that no matter what is being battered and fried is to make sure that it is patted dry on the surface before battering and frying.


Prep: 1 hour (includes the cleaning and drying of the cauliflower)

Cook: 15 minutes

Total: 1 hour & 15 minutes

Serves: 4 as a side dish
