A lot of times, when watching a movie or show, I hear the name of a dish I hadn't heard before. Then I have to look it up and find out what is in it. Jajangmyeon came up in a show where a couple was trying to figure out where to eat. And after I looked it up I just had to make it.
Crisp strips of pork belly in a black bean sauce, with cabbage, onion and garlic. Served in a bowl over wheat noodles and garnished with julienned cucumber and fresh chilies. This recipe is my take on a classic Korean dish.
