Compound butter (or finishing butter) is a mixture of butter with herbs, spices and other ingredients and used as a seasoning for meats and vegetables. This mix uses fresh herbs and other common seasonings. It is perfect on a wide variety of dishes, but wonderful on mashed potatoes or corn on the cob. Place a scoop on steak or burgers after the first flip.
