Polenta Parmesean

Polenta is an Italian side dish of boiled cornmeal. It can be served like a hot porridge or cooled to a cake like mass that can be baked, fried or grilled. This recipe adds Parmesan. Add additional cream if you like a looser or smoother result. Excellent alone, with butter or with a mushroom or meat gravy, just like mashed potatoes.
