Savory Beef Hotdish

A recipe from my Aunt Marcella that I found in her parish cookbook. The recipe called for a food item called "Kellogg's Croutettes" which are no longer produced. Instead this recipe uses a similar product, seasoned stuffing cubes. Also, the recipe calls for 2 cans of cream soup (celery and mushroom) but any 2 flavors should do. For example, 1 can of Cream of Bacon and 1 can of Cream of Cheddar, for a bacon cheeseburger variety.

When baked, the stuffing/soup mixture creates something like the dumplings from a Chicken and Dumpling casserole. This recipe is quick and easy, as well as tasty

Prep: 5 minutes

Bake: 60 minutes

Rest: 10 minutes

Serves: 6-8
