Tave Kosi (Albanian Baked Lamb & Rice)

Writer's picture: Brian CzechBrian Czech

Tave Kosi is the national dish of Albanian. Literally translated, the name means 'soured milk casserole', which refers to the Greek yogurt mixture that is poured on top prior to baking. The dish can also be made using chicken, instead of lamb. Non-Greek yogurt can be used in place of the Greek-style for a more mild flavor.
